SmartChem 2023: Key Highlights and New Features

Below is a summary of the enhancements we made to SmartChem in 2023.

Formulators and "Combination APIs (FDC)" Tab

Inching closer to making SmartChem a one-stop solution for all your information needs, FDF (formulator’s data) was the significant addition to SmartChem. With this data, you can easily find potential buyers for your APIs, saving time and resources while expanding your business opportunities. The formulators are categorized by branded, unbranded, and semi-finished, along with their product list and accreditations.

Patent Expiry Search

Stay ahead and identify opportunities; with this feature, you can identify APIs losing patent protection. To make it more convenient, we have linked other key information with the APIs like suppliers, routes, regulatory, etc.

Agrochemical Registration Data

SmartChem has registration data for agrochemicals from 10 countries worldwide, which includes the European Union, the United Kingdom, Mexico, India, Brazil, Japan, Canada, Germany, Greece, and the Philippines. In 2023, registration data from six countries, namely Brazil, Japan, Canada, Germany, Greece, and the Philippines, was added to the existing data. Also, the registration data from Germany and Brazil includes information about the validity date and permitted end-use.

Reaction Scheme and Literature References

This new feature saves you a few clicks. You can see references right below the schemes. Making SmartChem more convenient and easier to use. Our chemistry team is also working on adding DOIs to all the scientific journals cited in SmartChem, with DOIs, you can quickly locate the article on the internet.

Dosage Data

You can find dosage data from eight countries worldwide on SmartChem, including the US, UK, EMA, Brazil, WHO, Ghana, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa. The dosage data from Saudi Arabia and South Africa were added in 2023, creating new opportunities for you in the Middle East and African pharmaceutical markets.

Supplier list download

The Supplier List download option was always present in SmartChem we just streamlined it. With this new feature, the list that you download will have separate columns for city, state, country, and zip code.
